Since starting the metal statues I have made many different types of mer-beings. Here are but a few.
This is one of my favorite
works, "The Guardian: Triton with Trident".
"Hemmingway"
He is a special piece to me. He is one of my earliest works. He is a centaur-triton, a mythological monster that I have come across only one time in my studies and only in a description. The centaur-tritons are part man (torso), fish (lower body) and horse (two legs jutting out from where the two parts meet).

Thank you Brandy for the little mermaid!
That's so sweet of you. She'll join her friend from Atlanta. Have a great Holiday!

Brandy, just wanted you to know how much I like the "Britomartis" sculpture I
bought from you. I was so intrigued with the little [rather torn-out looking ]
description of 'who' my sculpture was, that I put it between 2 pieces of glass,
soldered around the outside, and added a fine chain to it. Now, I have the
explanation hanging next to the sculpture. It is PERFECT except for one
thing...you need a signature on your pieces. Perhaps you could thread a tiny,
tiny metal piece with your name, and date, on to each piece you make.
Good luck, and if you ever get a 'signature' I'd love to have one to add to my
piece. Thanks, Dotty H*
*I'm working on that. I give certificates but find them to be cumbersome. I would like to get a metal press to conform to my sigiture, add it to a washer, and work the washer into the statue.
"Okeanos", at right, was my first experiment in the bigger pieces. Named for the great original Greek sea-god whose water surrounded the earth, "Okie" is a 13 foot merman with an affinity for trees. Perhaps he prefers the shade of cool trees to anything else a gallery might have to offer.

Subject : A Wonderful Piece of Art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a very talented dear friend who is an artist, professor and co-founder of the S.P.I.R.I.T.S. of St. Petersburg. Her name is Brandy Stark and most of you have met her.
Anyway, she sent an email to a group of us asking for input to name a new statue she had just created. Well I read the email then scrolled down to the photos and POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was overwhelmed with the feeling "This is us honey!"
Fortunately for me, she had not sold the statue yet and I am now the elated proud owner!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO
Brandy also accepted my input for the name of the piece. Lovers, Partners & Best Friends. It is a beautiful work that is two separate entities woven together as one and I feel it so represents Lee & I..
Marilyn - you might want to consider Brandy for one of your shows - if so let me know and I will be honored to connect (no pun intended) the two of you.
