Sign up and read about POLI ( Pugs of Long Island). POLI is a group for those dedicated to their pugs. This group was formed because though Long Island sports plenty of pugs it had no active pug groups. P.O.L.I. is a group where we are concerned about fun and meeting and enjoying the company of other people and their pugs.We have meetings monthly during the summer and bi-monthly during the winter This group is free and is open to anyone who has a pug: http://www.geocities.com/polifounder/POLI.html

Are you interested in paranormal and rodent kind? I created a parallel to the Paranormal Pugs Page -- yes, that's right, the Paranormal Pocket Pets Page. :) Who can resist? I believe that it is the only one of its kind on the Internet. I am also collecting stories! If you are interested, please check it out here: http://starkimages.homestead.com/paranormalrodents.html
Ratties! I have some that are rescued feeders, rescued breeders, rescued "oops" litters, rescued from snakes who wouldn't eat them, and given to me by people who couldn't keep them. I have a few that I've intentionally gotten over the years, too. :)
Pugs are like children, and rats are like dogs. The two species sometimes have special crossovers....
This image won 7th place and 800 Deviant Art points in a photo contest for Halloween/rat images. This is out of 25 entries, so I guess that's not bad. It took me about 90 shots to get these three possible entries (rats are not the most cooperative)! It was created and turned in the night the contest was due, and it's my first planned phototography entry for the club. I chose it because of the shot, and the color (black, orange, with a white pumpkin, too!) All three rats used are rescues.
The announcement:
Congratulations on your 7th place finish in the Holloween Rat Club Contest!!!! :D
Enjoy,

Shadrach is a rescue rat. He was given to me by a vet staff person. He was put into a snake's cage and the snake wouldn't eat him...so the owner turned him in, thinking that he might be sick. It turns out that the snake must have just liked him, because he was fine. So, I got him and he's been a great boy since!

Odysseus and Roboto.
Vinny the rat "singing". (Some rats are very vocal).
Girl hairless rats begging for dinner. I call this move "the popcorn"....
My hairless guinea pig, Mr. Hippocrates. The best images I have of him are in his guinea pig costume (seriously, they make costumes for small animals). So, here is Mr. Hippocrates dressed up as a bunny rabbit. Enjoy!

Ratties!
Mr. Hippocrates and his brother, Bucky (owned by my Mom!)
Greatest International Scavenger Hunt The World Has Ever Seen entry-- give a small animal a massage (but no water, don't hurt them, and when they've had enough, it's enough),
